On Monday, October 29, 2018, Asharqia Chamber and in cooperation with the General Authority for Zakat and Tax organized a workshop on Value Added Tax (VAT) and the registration steps at the Chamber's headquarters in Dammam.
The workshop was attended by a group of specialists from the General Authority for Zakat and Tax from a number of business owners and commercial establishments. The workshop aims at assisting commercial establishments whose revenues exceed 375 thousand riyals per year to register in the value added tax before the deadline of December 20, as well as explaining the required steps for the registration process for the business sector in the Eastern Region, the accounting system and the procurement department, and the definition of VAT and the method of filing the tax return.
The workshop is part of a series of events that are organized by the Chambers of Commerce in the Kingdom in cooperation with the General Authority for Zakat and Tax in order to raise the readiness of enterprises and ensure their understanding of value added tax, in addition to knowing the required steps to complete the preparation process.
