Asharqia Chamber organizes on Wednesday and Thursday 19 to 20 October
2016 the sixth edition of the (Forum for small and medium enterprises in 2016)
under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz,
Prince of the Eastern Province, with the participation of a number of
government and private authorities in this regard.
The head of the Board of Directors of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al
Ataishan said that The forum that will be held at
headquarters of the Chamber in Dammam under the vision adopted by the chamber
and of "strengthening the institutional infrastructure for small and
medium enterprises", as the Chamber is seeking through this event to
"establish the concept of integration between small and medium enterprises
and agencies supporting them, to be able to face the challenges and increase
their competitiveness on the international level, in light of the country
interest in this sector and it recently has launched the public committee
for small and medium institutions .
The Forum seeks
through the second axis to look deep in (the future prospects of the emerging institutions), by shedding light on
the future of the technical and administrative support to the small and medium institutions in the Kingdom, and displaying
some international practices in the field of development of small and medium institutions sector, and trying to research the
role of universities in motivating young people to head to self employment and pioneering for what this role involves of an effect in supporting the small institutions
sector, with a set of suggestions, ideas and projects.
Al
Ataishan said that the forum in its the third axis will be discussing (the role
of social networks in the development of small and medium institutions), where it
discusses the importance of interaction and the presence in social media, and
how to take advantage of social networks in the profitability of small and
medium institutions, and technical aspects in the social communication and ccounts
Managing.
Al Ataishan added that this event with the
sixth edition, is a part Asharqia
Chamber way to adopt the support and care of small and medium institutions
choice, as one of the most important
options and weapons we face all the economic and social challenges, and
contribute to activate all the development choices, and make a plus value to
our national economy, through the
provision of certain goods and services and create opportunities for national qualifications
and energies, pointing
that the Chamber has made a range of efforts
to confirm this option and improving it, as it made a study about the reality
of small and medium institutions in the Kingdom,
specifically in the eastern region, more than a decade ago, and is still
ongoing with all government authorities and civil society and supporting
sponsoring the sector and opened it many
and useful work fields in this regard,
In
this regard, Al Ataishan pointed that the Chamber has performed several events such
as training courses, seminars and workshops, as well as competitions such as
Dr. Ghazi Al Gosaibi Award for Best Promising institutions,
and had the efforts in media coverage in thisregard, all this to originate the
truth and the vitality and seriousness of the small institutions and its role and
effectiveness in economic life in general, and on top of all that has
established a special care for small and medium institutions represented
by the small and medium institutions center in the Chamber, which its mission is
to spot the needed choices to support and care for small institutions, from this center emerged the idea of
both of young men and women work councils and they
were a product and a progress of the
Committee of
small and medium institutions in Asharqia Chamber, and from this supported Centre by the administration
of the Chamber and its General secretariat, a forum has been organized for the
five previous versions, by once every two years, with new subjets,new ideas, and many experiments,
therefore the efforts are ongoing, and
the prospects are promising, and options available,
and the Chamber is open to every idea supporting
this sector.
