AlKhalidi: The initiative serves the historic decision that will be the turning point in the process of Saudization
Almugbil: Attendance of young men and women on the first day means their seriousness in benefiting from these programs
Asharqia Chamber on Sunday, 29 July 2018 launched its free initiative that aims to train and qualify 3000 young men and women to work in 12 activities that are exclusively for Saudis only. The launch was done in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, the Director General of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development Branch, Abdulrahman bin Fahad Al-Muqbil, General Manager of Human Resources Development Fund (HDF) Branch in the region, Abdulaziz Al Yousuf, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber, Badr Al-AbdulKarim.
The headquarter of the Chamber received the young men and women, who attended to benefit from joining the first program, which is held under the initiative and entitled "Skills of sales staff" and continues until August 1.
They applied the conditions of admission and received messages to confirm their presence. The initiative will then continue with various programs to allow the remaining applicants, who are registered within the initiative, to reach the main goal of qualifying 3,000 young men and women.
In a speech at the inauguration ceremony, AlKhalidi said, "The launch of this initiative comes to train young men and women on a number of professions and jobs that are approved by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, which are limited to Saudi youth only." This historic decision will be a major turning point in the process of Saudization decisions in the private sector, as it is a pioneering step to complete all actions to provide job opportunities for Saudi youth who are looking for a better life.
Al-Khalidi stressed that Asharqia Chamber has always been active in dealing with public national issues, especially if it involves a social and economic dimension such as the issue of settling occupations and jobs in economic activities. He added, "we support such an approach for what we see as positive and we will reap the rewards of all of launching this initiative that aimed at the qualification and training of young people who are wishing to join these jobs. It is a free service that is provided to these young people, based on our social responsibility in this country. We hope during the period of the program, which starts its first stages today, to qualify 3000 job seekers from our sons and daughters. We look forward to having a great deal of interest in building their homeland and national economy. Through this step, we seek to provide the right environment for the success of this historic decision and to maximize its value and to add value to our national economy."
At the end of his speech, AlKhalidi stressed that the issue of Saudization is no longer the responsibility of an individual or a class or a governmental body; however, it is a national issue that bears the responsibility of everyone in this country because the return will not be limited to one without another, or one without the other.
He pointed out that everyone is benefiting from the decisions of Saudization and employment.
He went on to say, "We, the national and humanitarian people, should support such decisions and strive very hard to implement them to the fullest extent and to activate them on the ground, and to provide the appropriate environment for their success to serve the nation."
For his part, Al-mugbil said that such initiatives provide the youth with the skills and knowledge that will help them develop their capabilities, whether they are on the job or those who are preparing to enter the labor market.
He stressed that these types of training programs are specialized and provide technical needs that will benefit those who are enrolled in their jobs too.
He said that the presence of young men and women on the first day means-to officials-the extent of their interest and seriousness in benefiting from the axes of training programs and searching for everything that is new.
He pointed out that the Kingdom-represented by all ministries and departments- is keen to develop its children and works to enable them through free specialized programs to provide them with the skills and abilities that enable them to contribute effectively in the uplift of the homeland.
He noted that such programs are usually offered in large amounts of money and with a high cost; however, the Kingdom offers it free of charge, as the business sector is keen to support such initiatives.
On the other hand, the initiative witnessed a great demand for registration, which reflected the interest of young men and women in developing themselves and their keenness to register in specialized qualification programs that enable them to acquire the skills and knowledge to engage in the labor market and contribute to building the nation.
The initiative was launched as a first stage, starting today, and it will continue on sporadic training periods, each 4-day continuous period in the afternoon (from 4 pm to 9:30 pm). The programs will be held six times during the year 2018, and aims to prepare and qualify 500 young men and women in each period to a total of 3000 trainees.
