On Tuesday April 16th, Asharqia Chamber concluded its first edition of its exhibition of productive families "Sanaati Khafji 2019", which was held for four consecutive days under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province.
It was opened by the President of Asharqia Chamber Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi with the presence of Governor of Khafji, Mohammed bin Sultan Al-Hazza and a group of businessmen from the region and the governorate.
An extension of success
The exhibition is an extension of the success achieved by the exhibition of productive families «Sanaati» since its inception in 2015 in Dammam.
It has been set up with the aim of creating marketing windows with more expansive spaces to display the products of the productive families of Khafji and to create an income for these families by selling their products in places designated for each family.
Al-Khalidi praised the patronage of His Highness the Emir of the Eastern Region of the exhibition "Sanaati Khafji 2019" and the great support that the productive families received from HH, who is always keen to sponsor and support them to improve their role in the national economy, as well as his support for all economic activities in the region and his continuous encouragement to the private sector.
The most important initiatives
Al-Khalidi considered this initiative, providing exhibitions for productive families to display their products and expanding its establishment among the provinces of the region, among the most important initiatives undertaken by the Chamber in the area of social responsibility.
It is an initiative that restores the work of productive families and helps to market their products properly.
The associations and development centers that provide these families are also given the opportunity to introduce their programs and activities to the family and society.
Al-Khalidi explained that Asharqia's chamber aimed at Sanaati Khafji to provide opportunities for the productive families in Khafji area and the nearby governorates.
The exhibition was a great support of these families and a contributor to the development of their activities and the marketing of their products.
He stressed that the support of productive families involves several economic and social consequences, as it is by representing an investment channel that brings added value to the national economy and on the other works to provide jobs and promote creativity and innovation.
Marketing outlet
For his part, the Secretary General of Asharqia Chamber, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabil, said that the exhibition served as an important marketing outlet for these families, thus enhancing their continued work and finding the right income.
He pointed out that Khafji's Sanaati was a continuation of the importance of Asharqia Chamber to the productive families.
This sector has the potential to contribute to the development of the economy and stimulate the production and marketing process and provide employment opportunities for all sectors in the society.
He said that the Chamber seeks to be a leader in the service of productive families as part of this society, as it is its responsibility to contribute to its development and raise its level of service to serve the nation.
Al-Wabel explained that the exhibition was divided into four main sections that are including the Departments of crafts, handicrafts, decoration, fashion, clothing, sewing, perfume as well as the departments of food and sweets, coffee and spices.
It also received the presence of three incubators such as the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, the Social Development Bank and Khafji Women's National Association.
It targeted about 50 productive families who were able to display their products in the exhibition pavilions.
Moral returns
Al-Wabil pointed out that the productive families sector takes a large share of the attention of Asharqia Chamber, as being a sector that is characterized by other than the other sector with multiple benefits that is placing it within its social responsibility objectives.
For their part, the productive women expressed their happiness at the exhibition for the achievement of the well-being and giving them the chance to be in front of the public with their products.
They are hoping to repeat it more than once.
They pointed out that most of the amount of sales and financial returns are the great moral returns that they felt, as for the first time they feel like they sell in their shop or their own exhibition.
They also thanked the Chamber for organizing the exhibition and praised the high turnout of visitors and sales, which provided them with a substantial income.
