• Asharqia Chamber and the Dutch Embassy are discussing ways of joint cooperation

    On Thursday, April 5, 2018, Abdulrahman Al-Suhaimi, a member of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber, received the Deputy Dutch Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Matcha Bak, at the Chamber's headquarter in Dammam. The two sides exchanged talks on the reality and the future of the economic relations between the Kingdom and Amsterdam, as well as the cooperation and the exchange of trade delegations. The meeting witnessed the presence of Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Suleiman Al-Suhaimi.

    Abdulrahman Al-Suhaimi said that the two countries share a long history of trade relations. He stressed that the meeting serves the common economic interests of the two countries and comes in light of the great economic transformation that the Kingdom is undergoing in line with its vision 2030, which aims to diversify its economic bases. In fact, this requires benefiting from the experiences of distinguished countries in achieving development.

    He noted that Netherland is one of the top 20 economies in the world that includes one of the best European cities for business, Amsterdam. It is also one of the top ten leading export countries in the world; food is the largest sector of the Dutch industrial sector.

    The Dutch Deputy Ambassador, Macha Pak, pointed to the solidity and diversity of Dutch-Saudi relations in their forms and scope, all of which seek to achieve the best current and future results. The two countries, she said, are ideal partners in many economic fields such as agriculture, food, health, energy, water, and technology. She stressed the role of the Dutch embassy in the Kingdom in introducing Dutch investors to the promising opportunities in the Saudi market.​
