Asharqia Chamber honored former Assistant Secretary General for Media and Public Relations, Abdul-Wahhab Al-Ansaari, last Tuesday on the occassion of his retirement after serving the Chamber for almost 28 years.
Secretary General, Adnan Al-Nueim, said during his speech that they were honoring Al-Ansari for his service and wisdom that helped all of us during his tenure. "Al-Ansari's leaving does not mean the end of our connection with him, rather we will remain in constant contact and he will continue to work with us. He was a great example of excellent work ethic and sacrifice."
Al-Nueim added that our colleague is not only the longest serving employee of Asharqia Chamber, but he is also the longest serving employee of all the Chambers in the Kingdom, and the most knowledgeable of them. Al-Ansari played an important role in establishing and maintaining Chamber connections internationally and with the government, as well as the private sector. He also played an important role in establishing strong ties between the Chamber and various news and advertising agencies, both locally and internationally. He also established strong connections with various business sectors in the Eastern region and elsewhere in the Kingdom. Al-Ansaari spent the best years of his life working for the Chamber and he was particularly knowledgeable about organizing conferences and exhibitions drawing from extensive travel throughout the world.
Al-Ansari said that it will be difficult for him to leave the Chamber after serving for 28 years under four Chairmen of the Administrative Board: Sa'd Al-Mu'ajjal, Hamad Al-Zamil, Khalid Al-Zamil, and Abdur-Rahman Al-Rashid. Al-Ansari said that he learned a lot from all of them and that he is prepared to pass on all he knows to further serve the Chamber and its employees.
