The member of directors and chairman of
the telecommunications and Information Technology Muhammad Ibrahim Al Sheikh
said that the committee aims to enhance the relation with the relevant
authorities to solve all the challenges facing the sector and improve work
practitioners activity to professional.
Al Sheikh urged in the meeting, which was held in the main headquarters of the Chamber
the morning of Monday, November 28, 2016, the employees of the sector,
investors, businessmen and those interested to attend the seminar titled
(information security ..the responsibility and challenges),
on Wednesday, December 7/2016 for both sexes.
Al Sheikh said that the meeting reviewed the most important achievements of the
Telecommunications and Information Technology sector, most prominently the Saudization
of the sector and the procedures of implementing them, stressing that those
decisions have made a quantum leap that enabled the Saudi young men to achieve their
self esteem and moving towards in their
ambitions to new achievements added to the local market.
He explained that the meeting was characterized by transparency and reviewed
the challenges that still stand in the way of investors in the eastern region,
saying that the discussion of those challenges will make us think about improving
appropriate solutions and finding a good mechanism to deal with them, stressing
that the telecom sector is a vital and attractive investment sector, especially
as the international statistics confirm that Gulf region, particularly Saudi
Arabia is one of the most important countries that its people are interested in
technology.
Worth mentioning is that the Committee of Teleommunication and Information
Technology is an advisory committee working to improve and seek mutual interests
and economic institutions in the economic sector in the region, and seeks to
achieve more cooperation between workers in the private sector institutions in
the region, and organizing meetings to enhance the concept of partnership.
It also aims to exchange experiences between specialists and those interested
in working to raise awareness and culture by holding specialized workshops and
lectures, and working also on enhancing the mutual cooperation between the
relevant government authorities of the private sector, and facilitating the
procedures and discussing the obstacles and suggest solutions, either through
visits or hosting meetings, from its vision that reflects distinctiveness for
the progress of telecommunications and information technology and contributing
effectively in improving the national economy and its telecommunication sector
in organizing the telecommunications sector and information technology to
provide excellent services with professionalism.
