• American trade delegation reviewing training services in the oil and gas in Asharqia Chamber

                  The Board of Directors member Najib bin Abdullah Al Sehati said that the durability of the economic and trade relations between the Kingdom and the United States.
    He said in a meeting between VIP US trade delegation headed by Consul General in Dhahran Mike Hanke and attended the commercial attache at the US Embassy Douglas Watts and the Secretary General of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel that relations between the two countries in the field of education and training began a long time ago, referring to continuous efforts to enhance this relationship for the benefit of the parties, in light of the growing interest of Saudi students to pursue graduation studies in the United States.
    In the meeting that witnessed a crowd of the business sector to Asharqia Chamber represented by the training center provided many destined for the training of private sector staff training programs, as well as programs aiming to improve the business projects owners who want to start their own businesses and advise them before the start of their business .
    Al Sehati  explained that Vision 2030 has located the Kingdom in a high priority in education and training in order to prepare the worker as trained and qualified at the highest international standards is illustrated through the allocation of the Kingdom through its budget for the current year of 200 billion riyals on education and training sector.
    For his part, said Hanke, who headed a delegation of 20 companies specialized in the field of vocational and technical training mainly in the oil and gas, construction and engineering fields, architecture, aviation, information technology, telecommunications, health care, and heavy machinery and English that American companies are ready to meet the needs of education and training in the Kingdom, pointing to the increasing demand for training programs in the eastern region, which is the center of industrial activities in the Kingdom.
    The big number of Saudi students are targeting the various training programs in the United States and usually they travel each year to the United States to pursue graduation studies in this field, and the year 2015 witnessed an increase the number of Saudi students of 22 % of about 61,287 thousand students.
    The Kingdom has replaced South Korea as the third biggest source of foreign students studying in post secondary education in the United States as the Saudi students constitute about 5.9 percent of the total number of foreign students in the United States.
