On Monday April 23, 2018, Asharqia Chamber inaugurated its business council in Jubail Governorate for its 18th session of the Board of Directors of the Chamber, at the first meeting during which the Chairman and Vice Chairman were elected.
In a welcoming speech, the member of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber, Saadoun Al Khalidi, stressed the keenness of the Chamber to support the investment movement in Jubail governorate with more proposals and ideas to add to the growing positive situation witnessed by this province as one of the castles of industry in our beloved country.
Al Khalidi added that the Business Council at Asharqia Chamber of Commerce of Jubail Governorate is playing a role in one of the most developed governorates in the industrial field. Therefore, it has a great responsibility in dealing with this continuous growth, and maintaining the achievement after the great success of the establishment.
During the secret ballot in the meeting that was held at the Chamber's headquarter in the province, Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Mashal was selected as a Chairman of the Council after he won 13 votes, more than his rival Fawaz Bin Faleh Al-Hajri, who won 7 votes. On the other hand, Council member Mubarak bin Saif al-Khater was chosen as vice-president after he won 17 votes, compared to four votes for his rival Mohammed bin Ali al-Qahtani.
