Al-Raziza: We are proud of the global confidence in the Kingdom's capabilities to host Expo 2030.
Badr bin Suleiman Al-Raziza, The Chairman of Asharqai Chamber, on behalf of the members of the board of directors and its general secretariat, extends congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and all the Saudi people on the occasion of the Kingdom winning the hosting of Expo 2030 under the slogan 'Era of Change: Advancing Our Planet towards Future Outlook.' He stated, 'We take pride in this global confidence in our country's capabilities to host the most prominent international event,' emphasizing that the Kingdom's victory in hosting Expo 2030 confirms its significant position among nations.
Al-Raziza stated that winning the hosting is a result of the achievements the Kingdom has accomplished since the launch of its blessed vision across various sectors. He emphasized that it is a crucial step supporting the Kingdom's strategy to transform into a global gateway contributing to international cooperation, introducing people worldwide to the Kingdom's rich culture and heritage, highlighting its present and its economic and social growth. Additionally, he highlighted that it represents a major investment opportunity for national companies to participate in the preparation and organization of the world's largest exhibition.
The Kingdom has allocated $7.8 billion for the Expo, covering an area of 6 million square meters, with an expected physical and virtual attendance of over 40 million and more than one billion people through the Metaverse platform.
Al-Raziza emphasized the uniqueness of Expo 2030 as the first edition committed to achieving zero carbon emissions using clean energy, aiming to protect the environment from the effects of climate change. This commitment gave the Kingdom an advantage over other competing countries. He noted that the Kingdom aims to enhance the world's ability to work on globally impactful projects and change the world's course towards a better and more sustainable future.
