Abdur-Rahman ibn Rashid Al-Rashid, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Asharqia Chamber, and Sir William Bate, the British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia met recently in order to srengthen partnerships between the British and Saudi private sectors.
During the meeting, Sir William Bate mentioned that a number of British companies are in search of promising partnerships and investment opportunities in the Kingdom. Adding that the British Embassy supports such trends.
Al-Rashid encouraged British companies, especially those specializing in training, contracting, and construction to have a presence in the Saudi marke where there are existing opportunities for investment.
During the meeting, both sides praised the strenght of the Saudi economy and its ability to overcome the challenges of the global economic crisis making it an attractive investment environment. The meeting was also attended by David Harris, the Director of the British Trade Office in Khobar.
