Abdulrahman Rashed Al-Rashed Chairman of Asharqia chamber discussed the preparations for an exhibition of the armed forces to be held end of the 2012 in the eastern region during a meeting with Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Major General Saleh Al-Megren and secretary of the Central Committee of the local manufacturing Colonel Engineer Atiya al-Maliki at the headquarters of the Chamber in Dammam.
The Ministry of Defence organizes with the strategic partnership with the Asharqia Chamber the exhibition which implemented by the Dhahran International Exhibitions Company during the period from 8 until December 13, 2012 at the headquarters of Dhahran Exhibition Company on the main Dammam Khobar coastal road .
The exhibition sheds light on the rehabilitation of national factories for the manufacturing of spare parts locally and supporting the national industry and production development in accordance with the standards and quality and specifications required.
It also reviews the ways to open channels of a joint cooperation between the armed forces, businesses and local factories and the private sector and to inform the private sector on the needs and requirements of the armed forces of materials and spare parts that can be manufactured locally and also to contribute with the private sector on the transfer and resettlement of technical and development in addition to the recycling of financial resources locally and to encourage programs for Saudization.
Important objectives of the exhibition is to find promising investment opportunities to the private sector and take advantage of endogenous capacities and capabilities and the creation of a long-term strategic relationship with the private sector in the field of local manufacturing and the establishment of channels of communication for planning and follow-up between the armed forces, factories, and local companies and research organizations to promote local manufacturing.
