The Asharqia Chamber on April 29 organized a seminar entitled "Meet-the-Media-People" for the consecutive fourth year at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Dhahran. A large number of journalists, writers, researchers and media people attended the seminar.
Abdulrahman Rashed Al Rashed, Chairman of Asharqia Chamber, honored two late journalists—Abdullah Kashri and Shaker Al Shaikh—for their outstanding contribution in the field of journalism in the Eastern Province. He focused on their role in the economic development of the region and their support to the Chamber in highlighting its activities in the media.
Al Rahsed recalled his memory when he was in touch with Abdullah Kashri and Shaker Al Shaikh and highly appreciated their professional skills, sincerity and dedication for the development of today's media in the Kingdom. Children of these two late journalists were present on the occasion.
Speaking at the seminar, prominent writer Abdulaziz Al Sweid stressed the importance of relations between the trade promotional agencies like chambers of commerce and the media to highlight the development activities of the country.
