Media man Mr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Rashed, has expressed his optimism about the future of Saudi media, because of it carries of the various options in terms of both the number of male and female students in the field of media, or in terms of huge commercial and public means owned by the Kingdom
Al Rashed, who was hosted as a guest for the meeting of media men and women 2016, organized by Asharqia Chamber main headquarters at the night of Wednesday, April 6, 2016, has stressed the importance of editorial content quality to the success of media institutions, weather heard or read, linking the good content with the strong attendance in the market, and therefore the ability to compete in the openness that the world experiencing in various fields.
Al Rashid has stressed, during the meeting which was attended by Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber, Abdul Rahman bin Saleh Al Ataishan, and the Secretary General, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel, and a number of board members and leaders of men and women media, and writers of the eastern region and was directed by, media Dr. Talat Zaki Hafiz, that the Saudi press institutions, unlike many Arab press institutions, has been able to manage and improve their conditions internally, for example, by heading towards the idea of creating a complementary companies, which it helped in its presence in the market, and enabled them to overcome the sustainability challenges and growth continuity.
Al Rashed said, the specialized media is still in need of more training and rehabilitation, pointing that until now it is difficult to find a proficient economic journalist.
Rashed noted to the positive reflections of the technological development on the media men and women, that the media has become, with its both the visible or readable parts is crowded with competition based on quality of content, and also that the media have an opened space that is not monopolized to express their opinions.
Rashed spoke about journalistic experience and how he started his career while in the middle school in Al Jazeera magazine, and his moving to take over its office management in the capital of US, pointing that it was a different turning in his career especially regarding the climate and tools of press, mentioning the two phases of his work in the Saudi Research and Publishing group and Al Arabiya Channel, and the extent of the effect of these two different experiences in many tools, on his intellectual formation in the media field.
from his part, Chairman of Asharqia Chamber Management, Abdulrahman bin Saleh Ataishan, expressed his pride that Asharqia Chamber again is embracing the meeting with the media men and women in 2016, referring to the keenness of the Chamber to embrace it at that time each year, believing in the great role played by the media system with its different forms and types, in gathering knowledge and information, which together constitute the collective consciousness. Ataishan said, that the media is an important channel to open up to the community, which the Chamber is moving in its zone, and that the Chamber while holding this meeting, and hosting through it these media qualifications and intellectuals, it confirm its full contentment of the great role played by the media in delivering its point of view and what it is performing of actions to everybody.
Ataishan stressed, that Chamber is good in listening for all media channels, with the observations and suggestions offered to it that contribute to the improvement of its business, and facilitate our mission to provide a distinctive service to its subscribers, and to the national economy as a whole, concluding by saying: (You are a great asset to us in spreading the development values and free work culture and the importance of the private sector in the overall development taking place in our country).
At the end of the meeting, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber has honored both of guests of the meeting, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al Rashed, and the director of the dialogue, Dr. Talaat Hafez.
