In the lecture
"green buildings" in Asharqia Chamber
Eng.
Yazeed Al Mutawa stressed the importance
of taking in consideration the environmental factors in architectural design as
an important part in the operation of design
of green buildings.
Al
Mutawa Said in the lecture, which was
organized by Asharqia Chamber the
morning of Monday, November 21, 2016 "green buildings" for some solutions
to preserve the environment, noting that the environment friendly materials
that do not harm the environment and human life with its
raw materials composition, and the stages of manufacture and method of storage,
distribution and re-use or disposal .
Al
Mutawa said that these materials are not only chemical and physical formulation friendly, but also in their life
cycle and their method of production, such as: reducing wasted energy and the
distribution of the transfer process, and the use of materials made of organic
materials and known content to facilitate the reuse.
He
explained that waste the management and the use of reusable materials is one of the most important points in the
preservation of the environment operations, pointing that 69 percent of the
landfill in America consists of materials that can be reused, such as eating,
glass, paper and plastic.
Regarding the water inside buildings Al Mutawa said that 70 percent of daily
water use is consumed in the buildings,
adding that the aim of the designs of buildings being green is to reduce water
use by at least 20 percent.
As
for gases effect he said that the recent studies confirm that the emissions
became of a high level,
especially in the transportation accounting for 33 %of total emissions,
pointing to the strategies that can be followed to reduce those emissions, most
prominently processing places to enhance
the culture of jogging among people, and
providing bike paths and parking for them with and changing rooms with fans, creating a
variety of services and transportation environment, and allocating areas to
promote healthy eating and health groceries to raise the agriculture areas in
the city and raise people health.
Al
Mutawa in the lecture which is apart of the awareness
activities of the Committee for 2016, indoor environmental quality of buildings
and pioneering in Energy and
Environmental Design, as green buildings are buildings designed with special standards characterized as of a less
effect on the environment through their life and by high efficiency of consuming
resources such as energy and water consumption and using environment friendly
materials, which contributes to reduce the carbon dioxide from the buildings
and the waste of energy and water.
The
lecture discussed the importance of
solar energy and the alternative energy in the future, resulting in a clean
environment and green buildings that contribute to the beauty of the
environment and reduction of environmental pollution which is harmful to human
health, animal and plant.
