A German trade delegation reviews mining systems and AI solutions at the Asharqia Chamber
Today, Thursday, April 25, 2024, the Asharqia Chamber hosted a meeting with the German trade delegation, in the presence of investors and entrepreneurs. The meeting was attended by the Chamber's Board Member, Nouf bint Abdulaziz Al-Turki, the head of the German delegation, Deputy Representative of the German Industry and Commerce in the Kingdom, Astrid Kroeck, and the Chamber's Secretary-General, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabil.
Al-Turki emphasized the robust economic and trade relations between the Kingdom and Germany, which are entering a new phase of relations and partnerships across all levels, with wide-ranging prospects for cooperation between the private sectors of both countries. She noted that the meeting was part of the Chamber's efforts to enhance mutual economic relations, which have connected the two friendly countries for over 90 years.
Al-Turki stated that in light of the major transformations taking place in all sectors in the Kingdom, particularly in the mining sector, which is rapidly advancing to achieve a leap in development and smooth value chain integration, and also considering the rapid growth in relations between the two countries, as a business sector, they look forward to building on these growing relations to establish ambitious partnerships between the private sectors of both countries and explore further opportunities for business growth and prosperity.
It is worth mentioning that the volume of trade between the Kingdom and Germany witnessed an increase of 25.4% in 2022 compared to 2021, and an increase of 22.6% compared to 2018. Germany ranked 32nd in terms of countries to which the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia exports in 2022.
The delegation included investors in the fields of mining machinery and tools, mining systems, industrial solutions, and artificial intelligence solutions.
