Member of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber Ibrahim
bin Mohammed Al Sheikh stressed that the British training programs are popular
in the Kingdom for the distinctiveness of its designs that is favorable to the
local labor market requirements.
Al Sheikh said in the meeting, which was
held the morning of Tuesday, November 29, 2016 with the British trade
delegation specialist in education and training, headed by Amanda Silvertnam Chairman
of the cooperative training inYork University, in the headquarters of the Chamber
that the Kingdom has recently launched the "Saudi Vision 2030," which
hass given the priority and importance to education and training as it seeks to
the introduction of about half a million of jobs chances for Saudi youth,
noting that education and training is the key to prepare Saudi youth for the
labor market, pointing that the Kingdom has allocated 192 billion as a budget
for education and training in 2016.
Al Sheikh said in the meeting that was attended by Secretary General of the
Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel and a number of businessmen and
interested figures, that there is a big potential for partnerships between
training providers in the two countries, stressing that the Kingdom is
determined strongly in improving the minds skills in all fields to transform
the kingdom economy to a knowledge based economy, he added that Saudi Arabia
has many fields of cooperation with Britain in the field of education and
training, and these fields will witness an expansion in the coming years as the
Saudi students have a growing interest in graduate studies in the United
Kingdom which embraces universities and institutes of nearly 10 thousands of Saudi students.
He pointed that the Asharqia Chamber has worked continuously for a long time on
cooperation with the British Trade Office in Al Khobar in these fields and
introducing them to the kingdom.
For her part, Amanda said that the United Kingdom occupies a good position in
the excellence of training programs between experienced companies in providing
and implementing programs that respond to the requirements of the labor market
training programs, noting that a gate has been provided for training which is
an easy and fast way to any specialty in training programs of British universities
and colleges, pointing that these training programs are specialized in the fields
of English language, school adminstration, licensing and innovation, skills, general leadership, and management of educational
partnerships with British universities.
