Strengthening competency building for small and medium enterprises in the Asharqia Chamber
Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Chamber's Entrepreneurship Incubator, organized a meeting on Sunday evening, June 9, 2024, entitled "Capacity Building in Small and Medium Enterprises," presented by the consultant and trainer in human resources, Salman bin Saleh Al-Suhail, which comes within the Chamber's activities to maximize the impact of training, qualification, and awareness programs in the labor market. For entrepreneurial projects, which contributes positively to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, and to enable projects to compete locally and globally by providing a high-quality entrepreneurial environment in the presence of several interested men and women entrepreneurs.
During the meeting, Advisor Al-Suhail discussed an introduction to capacity building, the method of understanding the facility using SWOT analysis, the mechanism of building the capabilities or competencies of individuals within the facility, and building the capabilities of jobs and the facility, in addition to reviewing models and examples of capacity building methods.
The human resources consultant and trainer emphasized to the attendees that one of the most important elements of motivating and empowering employees in an establishment that wants to build the capabilities of its employees and develop them is maintaining fair treatment, allocating time to spend time with them, i.e. the "open door policy," focusing on their strengths and merits, and creating an environment Sound work, delegating and challenging work effectively, and approving compensation and material and moral benefits appropriate to the volume of business within the facility.
Al-Suhail noted the importance of understanding the current situation of the facility well before planning for capacity building and using the elements of strength to deal with the three main elements of capacity building (individuals, jobs, and the facility), and working to strengthen and enhance the capabilities of individuals and the requirements of jobs and the facility to achieve good capacity building in small and medium enterprises.
