Asharqia Chamber hosts Qatif Technical College in the monthly Tuesday meeting
Asharqia Chamber, in its branch in Qatif Governorate, held the monthly Tuesday meeting for the business sector, which hosted the Dean of the Technical College in Qatif, Muhammad Al-Ansif, where the meeting witnessed a remarkable presence from the business sector, specialists and interested parties in the governorate.
Al-Ansif spoke during the meeting, which was held on Tuesday evening, September 17, 2024, and was moderated by the Vice President of the Business Council in the branch, Dr. Rashid bin Farhan Al-Mahashir, about the aspirations of the college and its goals aimed at qualifying the sons of the nation in technical fields, noting that the vision of the college, which stems from the vision of the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training, emphasizes the effective contribution to economic, social and environmental development by providing technical and vocational training for the sons and daughters of the nation with the quality and sufficiency required by the labor market, and achieving global leadership that guarantees independence and self-sufficiency.
Al-Ansif said that the college currently includes two departments, the first is the Business Technology Department, which includes the specializations of Office Business Technology and Accounting Technology, while the second is the Computer and Information Technology Department, which includes the specializations of Computer Technical Support Technology and Network Systems Management Technology.
Al-Ansif announced that the college is working on opening new specializations that contribute to developing the skills of the members of the nation's sons, so that they become able to keep pace with the development and change taking place in the Kingdom within the goals of its 2030 vision. The specializations are Security and Risk Technology, and Occupational Safety.
He also reviewed the strategic goals of the college, which are enhancing the quality of training and institutional quality, expanding technical and vocational training, attracting the best qualified trainers and leaders, providing technical and vocational training based on demand, providing programs and partnerships led by employers, in addition to providing a modern and safe training environment, providing comprehensive services to support trainees and enhance their participation, and enhancing the concept of technical and vocational training and attracting trainees.
At the end of the meeting, the Vice President of the Business Council of the branch, Dr. Rashid bin Farhan Al-Mahashir, honored the guest of the meeting, Dean of the Technical College in Qatif, Muhammad Al-Ansif, with a commemorative shield.
