French trade deficit exceeds 61 billion euros
French President Francois Hollande visited the headquarters of one of the e-commerce companies in Paris. Government data showed that the French trade deficit dropped six billion euros to 61.2 billion last year, exports decreased by 1.3 percent but imports tumbling more amounted to 2.3 per cent, and the aviation industry remains an engine for French exports with a record trade surplus of 22 billion euros, driven by a historical level of orders for the purchase of Airbus planes.
