"German Chamber":Raising Taxes Threatens Hundreds of Thousands of Jobs
TheChamberofIndustryand CommerceinGermany warnedthe SocialDemocraticPartyandtheGreen Partyofraising taxesifthey wintheparliamentaryelectionsscheduledfornext September.
Prof. Dr. Hans Heinrich Driftmann,presidentoftheAssociation of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Germany,saidinaninterviewthat "The debateoninheritance tax raisesalotofconfusionamongthemiddle classin particular."
Dr.Driftmann predicted that about 18 thousand companies, employing up to 100 thousand workers per year, will be at risk in the case of this tax increase.
