Greetings,
Asharqia Chamber extends its best regards to you, and informs you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45510496/1) dated (4/5/1446 AH), which refers to the letter received from the General Authority for Foreign Trade No. (669) dated (21/4/1446 AH) approving the Trade Remedies System in International Trade and a number of arrangements contained therein, which aims to protect the local industry from harm resulting from the Kingdom’s exports that are subject to trade remedies investigations. In this context, the Authority is holding two virtual workshops, the first on December 2, 2024, specializing in “cement industries, building materials, the mining sector and other industrial sectors”, and the other on December 5, 2024, specializing in “petrochemical manufacturers”, to introduce the aforementioned system and the positive impact that trade remedies investigations provide in removing harm from local industries affected by dumped or subsidized imports or increased imports, in addition to learning about the role of this Authority in defending the Kingdom’s exports that are subject to For commercial processing investigations, in an effort by this body to maximize the benefit from the aforementioned system.
