Greetings,
Asharqia Chamber extends its warm regards and informs you that it has received a letter from the Saudi Chambers Union with reference number (45101011) and dated (5/3/1445 AH), which refers to a letter from the Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers Union with reference number (GCC/233) and dated (18/9/2023 AD). The letter mentions the GCC Chambers Union's intention to prepare an analytical study of Gulf local content. This study will include the private sector's perspectives on the draft Gulf Local Content Preference System and proposals regarding the goods that can be exempted from this system. The goal is to present the study's recommendations and outputs to the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council based on the recommendation of the Tenth Consultative Meeting between Their Excellencies the Ministers of Commerce and Industry and the Honorable Presidents of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
In this context, a workshop will be held with business owners in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to gather their feedback and benefit from their expertise in supporting the study's mentioned outcomes. This workshop will take place at 10:00 AM on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Al-Rashid Hall on the first floor of the Saudi Chambers Union headquarters in Riyadh.
