Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards, and informs you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (4310806) dated (2/2/1443 AH), a reference to the letter of the Food and Drug General Authority No. (5368/p) and dated (26/2/1443 AH), Concerning the Cosmetic Products Regulation issued by Royal Decree No. (M/49) dated (18/6/1436 AH), where the results of the analysis showed that it contained two makeup products, the first bearing the name “Nitrq Beauty 4 colors blusher 01” The second product is called “Nitrq Beauty 6 colors matt blusher 01” with a high percentage of lead and arsenic that exceeded the permissible limit as impurities in the Regulation of Safety Requirements for Cosmetics and Personal Care No. (SFDA.CO/GSO 1943:2016).
Whereas, exposure to high levels of lead and arsenic may cause health risks to the consumer.
According to the authority’s request, the Federation of Saudi Chambers hopes that all establishments engaged in the trading of cosmetic products will prevent the sale of the two products described in their data and return them to their suppliers.
