Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards, and informs you that it has received the letter of the Public Transport Authority No. (3634/43/1) dated (23/4/1443), Reference to the letter of His Excellency the Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization No. (3490) and the date (9/4/1443 AH), attached to the letter of His Excellency the President of the General Authority for Transport No. (2700/43/1) dated (26/3/1443 AH), which includes an update Specifications for the front, rear and side barriers for trucks and trailers, including the request for information on the mechanism of handling the trucks that installed the barriers based on the previous standard specifications.
Whereas the letter of the Saudi Standardization, Metrology, and Quality Organization referred to included the statement that trucks and trailers that have barriers installed from factories and workshops that have a conformity certificate issued by the Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology, and Quality following the old standard specifications do not have to modify the barriers according to the new standard specifications except when they are damaged. Classification and installation according to Saudi specifications, and it is necessary to ensure that there is a metal plate on the barrier bearing a serial number to ensure that the barrier was installed from factories/workshops that have a conformity certificate issued by the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization, and those concerned can check the factories/workshops that have a certificate Conformity issued by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization for truck and trailer barriers through the authority’s official website.
