Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best greetings, and would like to inform you about receiving the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers (SG / 2517) dated 16/9/1439, which referred to the letter of the Ministry of Commerce and Investment No. (48935) dated (13/9/1439) on the receipt of the ministry of HE the Deputy Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization No. (6632 / p) dated (5/9/1439). It referred to the decision of the Board of Directors of the Authority at its meeting No. (163) dated (24/4/1439) that includes updating the Saudi Standard No. (SASO 60034-30: 2013 IEC) to (SASO 2893: 2018), which is specialized in (Rotary electric machines - Part 30-1 - Efficiency ratings for AC motors connected to IE operating lines). This was published in Um al-Qura newspaper in issue no. 4711 dated 30/5/1439 H (16/2/2018).
The mandatory application will be effective as of 5/12 / 1439H (16/8/2018).
It is noteworthy that the Authority has notified all accredited certification bodies after the issuance of the COC for the consignments that fall within the scope of the above mentioned standard as of 2/9 / 1439H (16/5/2018) unless they have Registration certificate issued by the Authority.
