Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you of receiving the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (42104588) dated (4/12/1442), a reference to the letter of the Ministry of Commerce No. (58861) dated (27/11/1442), The letter attached to the letter of His Excellency the Deputy Governor for Conformity and Operations at the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization No. (7047) dated (11/11/1442), which includes the meeting of the Authority’s Board of Directors No. 170, dated (21/7/1442), to update the technical regulation for electric vehicles No. (MA-162-17-04-03), and accordingly, this regulation was published in the Official Gazette on (12/9/1442), and it entered into force on 12/3/1441.
Accordingly, the Federation urges those concerned to obtain a certificate of conformity for these vehicles from the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization.
