Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received the letter from the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (44103560) and the date (23/8/1444 AH), in which reference is made to the letter of the General Authority for Transport No. (1/44/7487) and the date (20/8/1444 AH), Concerning what has been observed of the spread of taxis with the new identity and bearing plates of the type of their registration is private and a reference to the regulations regulating the activity of the fare and the fare broker and the directive issued by the decision of His Excellency the Minister of Transport and Logistics No. (1/41/13) and the date (27/1/1441 AH), and its amendments, which are included in Paragraph (1) From Article Twenty-Nine: "Without prejudice to Paragraph (3) of Article (Four), the operating card shall be canceled at the request of the licensee after paying the financial fines and the financial consideration (if any), and amending the type of car registration by the traffic law and its implementing regulations." Article (2) of the same article states that the operating card issued for the authorized vehicle is canceled in the following cases:
In the event of the death of the authorized person.
At the request of the authorized person after paying the financial fines and the financial consideration (if any).
Cancellation of the approval issued by the competent authority in the airport management. In all cases, the vehicle may not be operated with a canceled card, and its registration type must be modified by the traffic law and its implementing regulations.
Where the decision was issued to amend the mechanism for implementing the above-mentioned regulation, by placing a requirement on establishments and individuals in the taxi activity to change the color of the vehicle and remove the identification and technical equipment when requesting or canceling the card according to the provisions of the regulation, and that the color of the vehicle be modified before changing its registration type from public transportation to Private by the General Traffic Department, and then amending that in the vehicle's traffic license data.
