Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (42103265) and the date (8/19/1442) Referring to the letter of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture No. (446358/1074/1442) dated (12/8/1442) containing the ministry’s note that there are local poultry products in the market (meat, eggs) that do not conform to the standard specifications approved in the Kingdom, namely (Standard Specification for Chicken Eggs No. 2014 / (GSO 1002) and (Standard Specification for Chilled Chicken No. (2016/322 GSO) and other related specifications, especially with regard to explanatory data on packaging packages and data on the quality of classification and source of these products, which is contrary to what is mentioned in Article (10) of the Implementing Regulations To the livestock system issued by Royal Decree No. (M / 13) on (10/3/1424), the necessity for local products to conform to the standard specifications approved in the Kingdom, and as this leads to harm to consumers of those goods, as well as to licensed production projects that meet the requirements and are bound by the regulations and instructions And because of the importance of the owners of poultry projects and packing centers adhering to these specifications to protect their investments in the poultry sector and avoid harm to consumers.
Therefore, the Council hopes that the owners of poultry and packing centers will adhere to the standard specifications of the aforementioned products, and not sell any products that do not comply with the above-mentioned standard specifications, with an emphasis that the packaging packages bear the addresses of the producing farms, the numbers of their licenses issued by the Ministry, the packing centers, as well as the descriptive and other data. provided for in the specifications.
