Asharqia Chamber presents its best greetings to you, and would like to inform you of receiving the letter from the Saudi Customs No. 130/3 dated 5/1/1440, which is attached to the speech of His Excellency Assistant Governor of the General Authority for Customs Affairs (No. 492/43 / AD) with reference to the letter of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Org. No. (5091 / p) dated (9/7/1439) on the mandatory application of Saudi SASO (SASO2883: 2017) for electrical dryer.
"SASO2884: 2017: Water Performance Requirements, Cards and SASO - Power and Card Performance Requirements."
The Authority has informed the competent certification authorities of the issuance of certificates of conformity to the products subject to the two positions referred to above unless they have a certificate of registration with the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Org., and in light of the directives of His Excellency the Governor, that no electrical dryers would be allowed with a capacity of not more than 25 kg and water heaters under the specified customs duties.
Therefore, we hope that all the importers of the electrical appliances listed above to work with precision and care, and that it will not be allowed for those electrical devices to enter unless the product registration certificate number is included with the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Org. as of the date (20/1/1440H).
