Greetings,
Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and informs you that it has received a letter from the Saudi Chambers Union, number (45101437), dated (27/3/1445 AH). The letter refers to the email received from the National Center for Plant Protection, Animal Diseases, and Pest Control (Waqaa) dated (26 Rabi' Al-Awwal 1445 AH), corresponding to (11 October 2023), regarding the report issued by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) on (25/8/2023), which includes the epidemiological situation of avian influenza worldwide during the upcoming period. The report indicates the onset of the disease spread season from October to March 2024. The center has requested poultry projects to be prepared and take preventive measures to prevent the disease from spreading to the projects.
Therefore, the Union hopes that concerned participants and relevant stakeholders intensify biosecurity measures. In case of an increase in daily mortality rates or the observation of clinical symptoms of the disease, please contact the Central Chamber of the Waqaa Center at the number (939) or through the center's official email (Er.Risk@weqaa.gov.sa).
