Gentlemen/ Members of the Chamber
Greetings,
Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards, and informs you that it has received the letter of the Union of Saudi Chambers No. (45101449) dated (3/4/1445 AH), referred to in the letter of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture No. (1030325) dated (26/3/1445 AH) and enclosed in the telegram of the Director General. General Administration for Arab Countries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs No. (071705-45-001) dated (10/3/1445 AH), regarding their receipt of a memorandum from the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Riyadh stating that they observed repeated violations of exporting companies and individuals by not obtaining prior approval through the special customs statement program. In the Sultanate of Oman before arriving at the Omani border crossings (land, sea, air) for various animal consignments (live animals, pets, animal products, animal waste, veterinary medicines, veterinary vaccines, animal feed), and the embassy’s desire to alert all exporters is that it is mandatory to obtain approval. In advance before shipping any type of consignment mentioned above, otherwise it is considered a violation and the owner of the shipment will bear all financial and administrative procedures resulting from this violation.
Therefore, the Union stresses to exporters that they must obtain prior approval before shipping the consignment to the Sultanate of Oman.
Sincerely
