Respected/ importers of poultry meat and meat products
Asharqia Chamber presents its best greetings to you, and would like to inform you of receiving the letter of the Saudi for Food and Drug Authority (45507 / GS) dated 06/06/1440 that is based on the role of the regulatory body on the imported products to verify their safety and compliance with the approved standard, as it was decided as follows:
-Importation of meat, poultry and poultry products from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is restricted on establishments approved by the SFDA only and listed in the lists published on the website of the Authority https://www.sfda.gov.sa.
-Temporary suspension of the importation of poultry meat and meat products from Malaysia until the regulatory body in Malaysia signs the sanitary and technical requirements for the export of Malaysian meat and health certificates. and correct the observations of the technical team that visited Malaysia that are approved by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority.
Note: the decision is valid from the date of issuance of this letter.
