Respected/ importers of live livestock
Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best greetings, and would like to inform you of receiving the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers (SG / 2588) dated 12/10/1439 AH, which referred to the letter of the Ministry of Agriculture No. (41/79731/1439) dated (23/9/1439) on a temporary ban on the importation of live livestock from South Africa due to Rift Valley Fever disease.
It is based on the warning issued by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) on 16/5/2018 that includes the emergence of Rift Valley fever cases in South Africa, and in anticipation of the spread of the disease to the Kingdom and seeking the public interest.
