Temporary ban on the import of poultry meat, table eggs and their products from the French Republic

Asharqia Chamber extends its best regards to you, and informs you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45508160) dated (23/3/1446 AH), which refers to the telegram of the Ministry of Commerce No. (9207) dated (21/3/1446 AH), and attached to the telegram of His Excellency the CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority No. (13475/10) dated (19/9/2024 AD), which includes the immediate notification issued by the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) dated (3/3/1446 AH) corresponding to (6/9/2024 AD), which states the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza in the (Finistere) district of the French Republic, and the issuance of the Authority’s decision No. (10/12597) dated (16/9/1446 AH), which includes imposing a temporary ban on the import of poultry meat, table eggs and their products from the (Finistere) district of the French Republic. France, and poultry meat, table eggs and their products that have undergone heat treatment are exempted from the ban, provided that they comply with the health requirements, controls and approved standard specifications, with the attachment of a health certificate issued by an accredited body proving that the product is free of the virus or has been eliminated.
