Asharqia Chamber extends its best regards to you, and informs you of its receipt of the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45515364/1) dated (7/14/1446 AH), which refers to the urgent telegram from the Ministry of Commerce No. (22571) dated (7/7/1446 AH) and attached to the telegram of His Excellency the CEO of the General Authority for Food and Drug No. (30872/10) dated (7/5/1446 AH), which includes the Authority’s follow-up of international reports related to food safety in countries around the world, and after reviewing the immediate notification report issued by the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) dated (12/30/2024 AD) which states the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza in the Calvados region of the French Republic, and where the Authority’s decision No. (30604/10) dated (7/3/1446 AH) was issued regarding imposing a temporary ban on the import of poultry meat and table eggs Their products that have undergone a heat treatment that is sufficient to eliminate the highly pathogenic bird flu virus, provided that they comply with the approved health requirements and standard specifications, with the attachment of a health certificate issued by the official authorities accredited in the French Republic proving that the product is free of the causative virus or has been eliminated.
