Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received the letter from the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (KG / 1480) dated (06/25/1441), and referred to in the speech of the Food and Drug General Authority No. (19208 /A) dated (06/17/1441), Regarding reports issued by some international supervisory bodies about the possibility of side effects on animals as a result of using veterinary medicines on Diethanolamine in its chemical composition, so the authority reviewed the drug safety file for veterinary preparations containing the above-mentioned substance, and after presenting and discussing the topic from All its technical and scientific aspects by the Companies Registration Committee And veterinary medicine factories and their products, the committee decided in its decision No. (13 / B / 550/41) dated (2/25/1441) corresponding to (10/24/2019) suspending the registration of preparations containing the substance (Diethanolamine).
According to the commission’s statement, veterinary drug companies and factories can apply to amend (Variation) to remove or replace Diethanolamine if it is included in the composition.
