Importers of refrigerated meat
Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best greetings, and would like to inform you of receiving the letter of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority No. (56909 / p (r)) dated (21/9/1439), which referred to the Authority's approval to suspend the importation of refrigerated meat from M/s Mirha Export Pvt. Ltd., which bears the accreditation number (125). It have proven that repeated contamination of meat products with bacteria (E. coli 0157) in its products. The suspension would be effective immediately until the regulatory authorities in the Republic of India provided the Authority with the results of the investigation of the microbiological contamination of the meat exported from that facility to Saudi Arabia, including E. coli (0157) and the procedures followed by it to control it.
It is noteworthy that the Authority will reject consignments of refrigerated meat shipped after the date (12/9/1439).
