Asharqia Chamber presents its best greetings to you, and would like to inform you of receiving the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers (L / T 1368) dated 6/6/1440, which is referring to the letter of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority No. (43687) dated (30/5/1440), which includes the Authority's keenness to monitor and follow-up the safety of locally marketed cosmetic products based on the cosmetic products system issued by the Royal Decree No. (M / 49) dated (18/6/1436).
Therefore, samples of perfume products traded in local markets were collected and analyzed in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Investment to ensure their safety.
The results of the analysis showed that six products of perfumes contain a high proportion of
Dietl ylhexy phthalate, which is banned in the list of safety requirements in cosmetics and personal care.
