Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received the Food and Drug General Authority's letter No. (17562 / p) and dated (7/18/1444 AH), In it, reference is made to the Saudi Food and Drug Authority’s follow-up to international reports related to food safety in countries of the world, and based on the immediate notification reports issued by the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH). This indicates that foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) has been controlled in the Kingdom of Bahrain and that no new outbreak of the disease has been recorded in it, and after referring to the recommendations issued by the World Organization for Animal Health contained in Article (8,8) of the Constitution of Terrestrial Animals, which indicates the possibility of lifting the ban, and a reference to the signature Minutes of technical and health requirements and the health certificate between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Food and Drug Authority would like to inform you of the issuance of the Authority’s decision No. (17265 / Q) dated (16/7/1444 AH) to lift the temporary ban on importing beef and sheep meat and their products from the Kingdom of Bahrain.
