Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you of receiving the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (4210469) dated (13/11/1442), a reference to the letter of the Public Transport Authority No. (42/1/8948) and dated (5/11/1442).Regarding the regulation regulating the activity of car rental and leasing intermediaries issued by the decision of His Excellency the Minister of Transport No. (120/41/1) and dated (7/5/1441), where paragraph (sixth) of Article (Fourth) stipulated “linking to any electronic systems determined by the Authority.” Article (21st) of the regulation related to contract requirements stipulates that “the facility licensed to conduct the activity must link to the electronic system determined by the Authority, and abide by the contract form, and it may add to it what does not conflict with its articles, after obtaining the approval of the Authority,” and a reference to a decision His Excellency the Chairman of the Commission No. (290/42/1) dated (2/6/2021), judge the following:
First: The obligation to limit the issuance of car rental contracts through the “Tajeer” portal, starting from 15/12/1442 corresponding to 25/7/2021, for the following:
Class (D) licensee
Uncategorized licensees in the activity
Licensees who conclude rental contracts manually
Second: Obligating licensees of the category (C) to limit the issuance of car rental contracts through the “Tajeer” portal, starting from (1/24/1443) corresponding to (1/9/2021).
