Greetings,
Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards, and informs you that it has received a letter from the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (L / 1770) Dated (3/9/1441), referred to in the letter of the Saudi Authority for Standards, Metrology and Quality No.(8848 P) dated (08/22/1441), Received by the Council on (08/08/1441), which includes reference to the developmental measures taken by the authority in the framework of the participatory work between government agencies to implement initiatives and reforms to serve the private sector and develop the business environment to improve the Kingdom's rank in the cross-border trade index for the year (2020).
Accordingly, the Authority’s Board of Directors Decision No. (05/174/2020) was issued at its meeting No. (174) dated 08/08/1441 AH to reduce the costs of the consignment certificate to (350) riyals instead of (500) riyals, in support of improving the arrangement The Kingdom is in the cross-border trade index according to the above distribution.
The Commission also wishes to inform that the decision will come into effect from the date of (08/22/1441) corresponding to (15/04/2020), looking forward to this action contributing to supporting local traders, importers, and manufacturers in light of the current conditions and mitigating the effects of the Corona pandemic. Note that this decision applies to new applications submitted via the (Saber) platform.
