Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received the letter from the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (44101815) dated (4/30/1444 AH), and regarding the letter of the General Authority for Ports No. (1/31/70/11139) dated (4/26/1444 AH), Which includes the Authority’s Circular No. (18) of 2022 AD, regarding the provision of means of transport for general and bulk cargo, and this comes to ensure the smooth operation of operations for handling general and bulk cargo ships The non-stop operations or the decrease in unloading rates in the ports, and the Authority confirms the following:
The obligation of all shipping agents/cargo owners to provide means of transportation for general and bulk cargo upon the arrival of their ships and their request for berthing.
All shipping agents should notify the ships belonging to their agency of maintaining the stowage plan for general and bulk cargo, and not to store anything that hinders the opening of the holds during unloading operations, once they are docked.
The authority will take all legal measures to maintain the smooth running of operations at the port and not to affect the provision of service to the beneficiaries of the berths from other ships, in addition to calculating the downtime for operational operations according to the system of fees for port services and its amendments.
