The Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards, and informs you that it has received the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (42102063) and the date (26/5/1442 ) referred to the letter of the Ministry of Finance No. (22289) and the date (20/5/1442) containing reference to the directive of the Council of Ministers notified in accordance with Telegram of His Excellency the President of the Royal Court Circular No. (65364) dated (6/12/1441), included in Paragraph (2 / a) of Clause (III) coordination with the Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality, to set technical regulations for the most consumed materials in the contracting sector, And setting a timetable within a year, for these materials to obtain conformity certificates from the Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality, and then the authority informs the Ministry of Finance of the regulations it has approved, and the Ministry of Finance issues circulars to all public agencies that their contracts include a special condition stipulating that these materials must conform to Saudi specifications and standards. And a reference to the letter of His Excellency the Governor of the Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality No. (1064 / p) dated (2/27/1442), which states that the authority launched the product safety program (SLEEM) to ensure the safety of local and imported products subject to the standards The Saudi Association and that the board of directors of the authority has approved several technical regulations in this regard, and His Excellency requests to circulate to the relevant authorities that the materials used in the contracting sector must conform to the technical regulations issued by the authority, and the standard specifications they contain, and not to accept any products that are not in conformity or not. Registration and issuance of a certificate of conformity to it from the electronic platform. Also, refer to what is included in the approved government contract forms that the materials used in the implementation of the works are subject to the specifications and standards in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
