• Procedures to protect health personnel and practitioners in health facilities

    Greetings,

    Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received a letter from the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (L / 1777) Dated (5/9/1441) and referred to in the letter of the Saudi Health Council No. (10-25579) Dated (02/09/1441) Including the telegram of His Excellency the Minister of Health No. (1654537), the date (09/02/1441), No. (1639987), the date (08/29/1441) and the Chairman of the committee formed in the two high orders No. (35280) and the date (06/01/1441), which prescribes that the committee shall immediately take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus inside the Kingdom, and the committee reviewed at its fifty-ninth meeting held on (25/08/1441) the procedures for protecting health personnel and practitioners inside the kingdom. Health facilities and updates by the World Health Organization in this regard, and the Committee's emphasis on the principle of social separation to reduce the risks of an outbreak of the Coronavirus within health facilities, and after the presentation to the scientific committee emanating from the committee formed by Supreme Order No. (46008) and the date (07/07/1441) and The Hospital Employment Committee emanating from the concerned committee. The committee concluded that all health sectors should be committed to the following procedures:​​


    1. Reducing the number of administrative employees who are not health workers, which does not affect the progress of work in health facilities and work at a minimum, and the application of extended shifts without prejudice to the rules of patient care security and the safety of health practitioners.​

    2. Activating the daily evaluation for all health workers (measuring the temperature and asking about symptoms and the date of contact with previous cases) before starting work on the mechanism determined by the health facility.​

    3. Applying a policy of comprehensive wearing of surgical sleeves during the practice of medical workers to all health workers and direct administrative patients, with the necessary precautions to prevent misuse and leaves the health facility with the mechanism of proper use.

    4. sufficiency minimum doctors to pass daily without prejudice to the safety of the patient and the consultant in charge of the patient in mind.

    5. Preventing health workers gatherings in health facilities (restaurant, library, staff rest) and finding a mechanism to organize health worker rest times to ensure social separation.​

    6. Activate the PCR laboratory examination for the direct health workers of patients who exhibit symptoms of high temperature, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, or a sense of smell in the professional medical clinic.​

    7. Emphasizing on all health workers who have respiratory symptoms or who have been on the lists of direct contacts with confirmed cases of not being in the health facility until their freedom from infection is documented.
