Greetings,
Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (43501579), dated (13/4/1443 AH), referred to the letter of the General Authority of Ports No. (1/2/60/8974) and the date (10/4/1443 AH). Regarding the (ACID) system for trucks in Egyptian ports and the consequent delay in the departure of truck drivers at the port until they obtain approval to enter the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the shipping agents’ request to facilitate the departure of the delayed drivers.
Therefore, the Union would like to take note of the telegram of the General Directorate of Passports No. (2655) dated (29/3/1443 AH) addressed to the General Authority of Ports, which includes the noticeable delay in the departure of truck drivers (passage - delivery of goods) whose truck carries goods exported to the Arab Republic of Egypt, as no reservation is made for them and tickets are issued by the shipping agent until they are registered with a special platform in the Egyptian ports and they are granted approval to enter the Arab Republic of Egypt through that platform, which results in the expiration of their visas before they obtain that approval, and their request Confirming the shipping agents to start registering shipments on the platform of the Egyptian ports and obtaining the aforementioned approval before those trucks enter the port nuts.
Accordingly, the Union hopes that the concerned committee and the specialists will commit themselves to start registering trucks on the platform of Egyptian ports and obtain the aforementioned approval before those trucks enter the port’s passports.
