Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards, and informs you of receiving the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (43102770) dated (27/6/1443 AH), regarding the letter of the General Authority of Ports No. (1/2/60/14783) and dated (23/6/1443 AH), Corresponding to the Circular issued by the Authority No. (31) of 2021, which includes that as of (1/3/2022 AD), all owners of goods must use pallets to stow goods imported to the Kingdom through containers compulsorily, with the exception of some goods shown in The circular referred to above, and despite the importance of importers’ commitment to the procedures for loading commercial goods safely and soundly using appropriate shipping pallets upon import, the authority would like to note that it has been decided to postpone work on its content so that the authority will further study the economic impact of its obligatory application in accordance with developments and challenges facing the movement of transport global marine.
