• Not working with non-Saudis, advertise or invite them to marketing events

    21/06/2022

    Gentlemen/ Members of the Chamber

    Greetings,

Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (431048440) dated (20/11/1443 AH) regarding the letter of the Ministry of Commerce No. (30243) dated (13/11/1443 AH), It included in it the telegram of the Ministry of Information in charge of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Audio-Visual Media No. (034667-43-001) and dated (8/11/1443 AH), in which it referred to what was observed of the violation of several non-Saudi advertisers "residents and visitors". In the social media platforms, and after checking their data, it was found that there are legal violations, including "they did not obtain commercial records or legal licenses" and they do not work under any commercial entity or foreign investment license, and based on the relevant laws and regulations, including the work system issued by royal decree No. (M/51) dated (23/8/1426 AH), And the rules for dealing with expatriate violators of regulations issued by Royal Decree No. (M/24) dated (12/5/1434 AH), which prevents the worker from working for his account, and enables the Ministry of Interior to control, stop, deport and impose penalties on violators, And the Anti-Concealment Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M/4) dated (1/1/1442 AH), which considers non-Saudis practicing an economic activity for their account in the Kingdom, and is not licensed to practice it as a “crime” punishable by penalties of up to five years imprisonment and a fine of five Millions of riyals.

Given the violations of non-Saudis’ work, the union hopes that everyone will not deal with non-Saudis, advertise with them, or invite them to marketing events for products, services, and goods, except for those who work under commercial entities and have a license and legal documents that authorize them to practice commercial advertising on social media platforms.

    Sincerely yours
