Gentlemen/ Members of the Chamber
Greetings,
Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received King Abdulaziz Port’s letter No. (16/33/38/14803) and dated (6/8/1444 AH), referred to as appendix to Port’s letter No. (16/33/38/8027) and dated (22/ 3/1444 AH), regarding matching truck, drivers, and cargo data with the appointment ticket to reach the desired operational efficiency.
Regarding the workshop held at the headquarters of the Asharqia Chamber on (1/12/2022 AD) organized by the Logistics Committee and with the participation of representatives from the Logistics Partnership Council with the private sector within (the National Industry Development Program and Logistics Services "Nedlib") Regarding discussing the challenges of the system of reserving truck appointments in the presence of several carriers, where a, among the challenges, is that some airlines reserve the truck’s entry time to one station and use it for another station, which misses the opportunity for other carriers and limits the optimal use of appointments.
Based on the above note, I would like to inform Your Excellency that the port administration has instructed port terminal operators not to receive and allow non-compliant trucks to enter the terminals except at an appointment designated for the same terminal.
Sincerely yours
