Greetings,
Asharqia Chamber gives you its best greetings and informs you of receiving a letter from the General Authority for Food and Drug No. (7152 / p) and the date (29/02 / 1441H) referred to circular No. (70505 / p) and the date (04/12/1440), which includes mandatory to be some Food imported from the Republic of India to Saudi Arabia, accompanied by a certificate of conformity from the conformity companies approved as of (01/09/2019).
In the interest of public interest and to give importers more time to ensure their compliance with the requirements of the Commission for foodstuffs of Indian origin, the Commission decided to take the following:
As for buffalo and sheep meat, it is mandatory to attach a Certificate of Compliance (COC) for each consignment as of 01/01/2020.
With regard to rice, it will be applied mandatory to attach a certificate matching Certificate of Compliance (COC) for each consignment as of the date (01/01/2020) that is currently being applied to continue to attach analysis of the accredited laboratory certificate for each consignment.
As for frozen vegetables and processed fruit and it will be applied mandatory to attach a certificate matching Certificate of Compliance (COC) for each consignment as of the date (01/01/2020) that is currently being applied to continue to attach analysis of the accredited laboratory certificate for each consignment.
For other agricultural crops, including spices, it is still mandatory to attach a certificate of analysis from the approved laboratories for each consignment.
